Below are five common Internet job-hunting related traps towatch out for that you may encounter during your search… Some identity thieves post fake job ads on job boards with theaim of stealing identities by obtaining personal information — atechnique called “phishing. ” Phishers pose as a trustworthy personor business to acquire sensitive information such as passwords andcredit-card numbers. They may email job hunters after obtaining their contactinformation from resume databanks often dangling professionalpositions says Ms. The “employer” may use the guise of ajob application or interview to secure information such as aSocial Security number bank-account number or a scan of a driver’slicense. Or a job hunter may be asked to provide information for apre-employment background check or arranging a direct-depositaccount.

The telecom operators have long grown tired of waiting for the National Telecommuni-cations Commission (NTC) to issue 2. 1-gigahertz-spectrum licences for 3G services. Therefore the state agencies which own existing spectra and the private telecom operators with their business expertise have come together to explore the launching of 3G services on existing spectra. At one time during the Thaksin administration the government wanted TOT and CAT to merge to maximise their strength but Phisal said if they had done so they would still be mired in the bureaucratic system. "We want to get out of the old system. We need flexibility" he said. The private cellular operators on both sides say they do not want to develop the new wireless-broadband businesses on a state-concession basis but according to other formats such as partnerships.
