Water was being hauled to the scene by fire crews from numerous volunteer fire departments. It was believed that one person lived in the home but was not there at the time. Meanwhile soldering work is being blamed for a fire that ripped through the roof of a Barnesville business late Tuesday morning and caused two other buildings to be evacuated. Crews from five fire departments responded to the scene at Bob’s Drive Thru and Carry-Out on East South Street and spent more than an hour getting the fire under control. The flames burned through the roof of the building and forced a nearby restaurant and apartment house to be evacuated. Fireifighters used two ladder trucks to aim water onto the roof of the building where smoke and flames could be visibly seen.
