Association of Realtors shows that 696 homes were sold in the Triad last month down from 1120 a year earlier and down 22 percent from October. The average home price meanwhile fell to $163889 down from $175137 a year earlier. Total dollar volume also fell by 42 percent to $114 million. The Charlotte area also saw a similar drop in homes sales last month while the average price fell more steeply by 17 percent to $193035. The Triangle’s home sales fell faster at 45 percent while average prices dropped about 7 percent to $226528. Statewide November home sales were down 40 percent to 4959 and the average price was $198908 down from $222681 a year earlier.
