The BBB is warning people of a business that it said is going door-to-door and may be targeting the elderly. A business going by the name Town and Country Construction or T & C Construction has allegedly scammed at least two elderly customers. In January 2009 an 85-year-old consumer reported to BBB that a man came to her door and told her that she needed work done to her home and he was the one to do the job. The victim felt pressured by his sales pitch and agreed to the repairs for $1500. n March 3 2009 the company returned and wrote another proposal for $9863. 42 which she also agreed to pay. In addition the consumer was told that they needed an additional $2000 for supplies.
