It was the first back-to-back monthly gain in existing home sales since September 2005. “Historically low mortgage rates clearly drew buyers into the market and housing remains very affordable even with a recent uptick in rates” said NAR chief economist Lawrence Yun. “First time buyers are also being drawn off the sidelines by the $8000 tax credit which is helping to absorb inventory.

The industry group now expects nationwide mortgage originations this year of $2. 03 trillion down more than $700 billion from what it was forecasting in March. The association says fewer home purchases account for $84 billion of the drop. The rest is due to fewer refinancings. The MBA now expects 4. 8 million existing-home sales in 2009 a 1. 2 percent decline from 2008.

She and a partner also just started a party planning business which she’s running from home. Now Washer can do a load of laundry while on a business call and get something cooking on the stove while answering e-mails. She can pick her kids up from school and make it to all of their games and activities. “I’m going to stay at home even if the economy gets better” Washer said.

The department is still trying to figure out who killed Ronald and Christine Jabalee at their New Baltimore home three years ago. Their bodies were found ct. 7 2006 by an employee of the family business after the pair failed to show up for work at RJ’s Meat Shoppe a meat counter in Eastern Market owned by their sons. The couple’s youngest son Ryan Jabalee declined comment on the reported developments in the case when reached by The News on Friday. An autopsy conducted in 2006 showed the couple had been stabbed multiple times and had other injuries primarily blunt-force trauma wounds to their heads.
